In ihren Studien untersucht sie, wie Prozesse der Handlungssteuerung sich verändern, wenn zwei Aufgaben parallel koordiniert werden müssen (Gade, Friedrich, & Koch, 2018), welche Informationen hilfreich beim Wechseln zwischen Aufgaben sind (Gade & Steinhauser, accepted) und wie unser Gehirn mehrere Konflikte verarbeitet und löst (Rey-Mermet, Gade, & Steinhauser, 2019).
