Promotion of physical activity among people with dementia: A behaviour change perspective

Dr Samuel Nyman is currently a Principal Academic in Psychology, and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Career Development Fellow at Bournemouth University
Dr Nyman’s background is in psychology (BSc, MSc, and PhD). His research is focused on older people and more recently people with dementia. Core to this work has been investigating the promotion of physical activity for the prevention of falls. This entails the use of both the psychology of health and psychology of ageing. Characteristic of his work is an applied focus with multidisciplinary collaboration, which has inspired an edited handbook published earlier in 2018: The Palgrave Handbook of Ageing and Physical Activity Promotion:
